2011 marks 100 years since the birth of the great gaelic poet Sorely MacLean and Blend Extra have brought together this event as a celebration of the Raasay man.
MacLean’s poetry sings with the sounds of the Raasay landscape and the over bearing presence of the Cuillins of Skye. His work captures the life on the islands with its harshness and beauty but also places it in the context of a European and global struggle with the sense of change that people have no control over.
